"The Flood"
A flood is an overflow of an expanse of water that submerges land. Therefore, a flood is a temporary covering by water of land which normally would not be covered. While the size of a body of water will vary with seasonal changes in precipitation and snow melt, it is not a significant flood unless such escapes of water endanger land areas used by man such as homes, businesses, or cities. Floods can damange and destroy many things that are in its path. However, floods (in particular the more frequent/smaller floods) can also bring many benefits, such as recharging ground water, making soil more fertile and providing nutrients in which it is deficient. Flooding helps the ecosystems as well as adding a lot of nutrients to lakes and rivers which leads to improved fisheries for a few years, also because of the suitability of a floodplain for spawning. So, "The Flood" is a place where children can come in order to be flooded with God's love and also get the spiritual nutrients needed to live life. The children will be flooded with biblical teachings that will influence godly character. Therefore, the children of Saluda River looks to become an overflow of God's love within the community. Come on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm and experience "The Flood"!!!
